Vortici is my latest project to depitch the representation of Bologna’s Porticoes (UNESCO heritage) according to an artistic viewpoint. That work is a sort of homecoming after a very long photographic journey around the world. Vortici meets the apical point of my art with love for my beloved town. Vortici is an evolution of my abstractionism, starting from the study of details to compose textures by pasting the same photograph in many ways in the same work.
Vortici is my former shared project, performed in cooperation with Mariangela Scuderi (journalist, photographer).

Vortici has soon attracted the attention of the Municipality of Bologna, whose internet site dedicated to Porticoes as World’s Heritage (Portici di Bologna – Patrimonio Mondiale) just picked of one of those works (Sala degli Specchi – Mirrors’ Hall) for the site cover and published my interview about Vortici project and my artistic path.

Modern architecture is normally considered as featured by a non emotional style for the most of people. Metropolitan areas look cold style environments. Especially whether watched without investigating about details (lines, shapes and colors) with the support of own imagination.
Heartchitecture is the perfect meeting between emotional and rational, round and straight, eye and heart. Therefore it is the demonstration of the opposite vision of the common thinking, that’s also the aim of my initial project Citypatterns wich it belongs to. That is why Heartchitecture is one of my own favorite works.
